The Beijing Olympics are set to be one of the most spectacular. One could also argue that the Olympics being staged in China sees yet another step in this super-power coming of age.
The games will be staged between the 8th-24th August 2008. The focus of the games will be Beijing however other locations across China will also be involved, these include Qingdao (Sailing), Hong Kong (Equestrian), Tianjin, Shanghai and Qinhuangdao (Football).
So if you can’t wait until 2012 when the Olympics come to London then Beijing 2008 might just be the sporting trip of a life time.

With over 300 Gold medals up for grabs, the Beijing Olympics are scheduled to be the most competitive games to date.

Getting There - Flights

Accomodation - Beijing Hotels
As you would expect Beijing has a variety of Hotels. Like most of China’s large cities, recent years has seen significant investment and building projects. So much so that cities like Beijing have become a modern-day wonders.
Hotels are plentiful but during the Olympics Games these are likely to be booked way in advance. Our advice is to book early, as people will otherwise be disappointed.

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the 2008 Olympics (BOCOG) is currently offering a chance for nationals and foreign nationals to take an active part in the games and become a volunteer.
